  1. Basically, the morphological theories are centered around the boundary based on whether the focus is on the morpheme as the unit of analysis or a lexeme. In this way, there are two main approaches;
    1. Morpheme based morphology (also known as item and arrangement morphology)
    2. Lexeme based morphology (also known as item and process morphology)

    Other approaches are:
    1 Natural Morphology
    2. Cognitive Morphology
    3. Distributed Morphology

    Hence, main theories include;
    1. Xbar theory
    2. Case Theory
    3. Binding Theory
